And it makes something that%u2019s both quick and effective Sooooo much more difficult than it should be.It would not take you long to write a social post about an award you%u2019ve won, for example, or a business success, a brilliant installation or even a funding announcement.But because we don%u2019t want to be perceived as arrogant, we don%u2019t do it.But positioning yourself as an expert on your industry, and giving out free advice and tips on how to succeed in it, that%u2019s not showing off, it%u2019s helping others.Use real examples of how customers have saved time, money and resource by upgrading, or taking your specialist advice. If you advise people on how to get the best out of their products, showing them your own achievements in the meantime, then they will see it working, FOMO kicks in, the fear of missing out on those successes.Simple, yet very effective. Lots of likes and nice comments and - more importantly - DMs and emails asking about your services.You see, people respond well to success. It%u2019s an easy thing to get behind and it underlines your authority.Don%u2019t do it too much, obviously - then you do look like a show-off. And make sure it%u2019s something that%u2019s a genuine achievement.But a little bit of self-promotion can go a long way. Why not have a think about this now, while it%u2019s on your mind.
